Position Summary:  As an IT Project Manager, you will create code foundational to our mission alongside a diverse team of top-notch engineers, designers, quality analysts and industry experts to rapidly move our projects through the development cycle and into the wild. 
 
Job Duties: Lead, support and grow a development project team in designing, architecting and developing pharmaceutical claim adjudication systems. Development tools include: PHP and Python; JavaScript, Ruby, Server-Side Scripting languages, NodeJS, and GIT.  Oversee the project team in estimation, analyzing, designing, coding, debugging, testing and modifying software enhancements and/or new software; set expectations and drive continuous improvement and high quality code. Supervise IT personnel; mentor team members in their professional development and provide guidance as needed. Oversee large-scope projects and cross- functional team dependencies. Manage escalation and issue resolution for internal clients and stakeholders. Create technical vision and strategy for assigned project teams in alignment with the organization’s business objectives; Create technical designs using product expertise. Create strategic project plans with technical vision and strategy for the organization that aligns with company's business objectives, and assume responsibility for claim adjudication architectural decisions and functions across Engineering. Provide input to product resourcing plans. Translate business problems into functional work estimates at the component level for current and future projects. Design, develop, and maintain more complex features of an application, including database design using MySQL and RDBMS. Test the developed service, performing unit testing and functional testing as needed. Refactor code from legacy systems to adhere to current standards and conventions. Independently investigate and resolve application functionality issues and provide support and troubleshooting expertise. Perform other duties as reasonably requested by management (company-wide job duty). 

Master's degree in Computer Science or related field. Three years designing, architecting and developing pharmaceutical claim adjudication systems, using PHP or Python (or a BS with five years of the above experience). The position also requires: three years of experience with database design using MySQL and RDBMS; and three years of experience developing applications using JavaScript, Ruby, Server-Side Scripting languages, NodeJS, and GIT.
